The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Funding Scheme began in December 2012 and replaces CERT and CESP schemes, providing packages for heating and insulation services for low income and vulnerable households. The main target for this scheme is to cut 20.9 million lifetime tonnes of carbon dioxide in housing. Private households and social housing residents are eligible for this scheme.
Essentially it is funding from the larger energy suppliers to support energy improvements for people on certain benefits, for hard-to-treat properties and for households in the poorest parts of the country.
ECO funding provides additional support for a range of energy efficiency measures such as insulation and heating packages to low income and vulnerable households. ECO funding can pay for external wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, efficient central heating systems and double glazing.
SPMS Wales can help secure this funding – we understand how the funding works and we have helped many others achieve this throughout our years of trading. We can check eligibility and process the paperwork for you as well as installing the energy efficiency measures for you.
